Hills Shire Welcomes 202 New Citizens

The Hills Shire welcomed 202 new Citizens at their recent Citizenship Ceremony earlier this month.  Becoming a citizen of Australia is an important and memorable occasion for all those involved.

Mayor, Dr Peter Gangemi, is pictured right with the Le Grange family.  The Le Grange family expressed their gratitude towards becoming citizens, telling Council that “being an Australian citizen is a privilege we will never take for granted.”

The family, who moved from South Africa to Australia said: “we made the move for our kids and have not looked back once. We know that they will be able to thrive and give back to the country and the greater community.”
