Hills Shire ClubGRANTS

Hills Shire Presentation Day Hills Shire ClubGRANTSThe Castle Hill RSL Club was abuzz with excitement on Friday morning (August 16th) as community leaders, volunteers, and representatives from various local organisations gathered to celebrate the 2024 Hills Shire ClubGRANTS Presentation Day.

The event recognised 37 remarkable projects that have been awarded just over $450,000 in funding to enhance the lives of residents across the Hills Shire.

The ClubGRANTS program, funded by Castle Hill RSL Club, Baulkham Hills Sports Club, The Hills Club and Glenorie RSL Club, provides essential financial support to a wide range of community initiatives.

The grants are more than just financial aid; they are an investment in the future of our community. The projects funded this year span critical areas, including health and well-being, social inclusion, skills development, family support, early intervention, and cultural enrichment.

One standout project is the “Run Against Violence’ initiative, which aims to prevent domestic and family violence in Castle Hill through stakeholder engagement and community facilitation.

Another notable recipient is Endeavour Foundation’s “Inclusive Shared Kitchen” project, granted $12,158 to refurbish a kitchen that caters to people with disabilities, promoting independence and social inclusion.

The morning tea at Castle Hill RSL was more than a celebration of funding—it was a celebration of community spirit.

Brett Andrews, Chair of the ClubGRANTS Committee, said: “These projects demonstrate the incredible impact we can achieve when our community comes together. The dedication and passion of these organisations inspire us all to work towards a brighter, more inclusive future.”

The Hills Shire ClubGRANTS program continues to be a shining example of what can be achieved when local clubs and organisations unite with a common goal. The $450,000 in funding distributed this year is a testament to the commitment of our local clubs to making a difference.

From supporting early intervention programs to organising cultural events, the projects funded through ClubGRANTS are set to leave a lasting legacy.

The 2024 Presentation Day was a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting those who dedicate their time and energy to helping others.
