Hawkesbury Australia Day

A family friendly fun day for all is promised at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor.

This Australia Day. Hawkesbury City Council’s event will run from 5pm to 9pm. Headlining the entertainment on Thursday, August 26th is Australian-born Polynesian RnB soul artist Prinne Stevens who wowed audiences on Season 1 of The Voice with her high energy R&B performances.

Prinnie has since gone on to tour extensively and perform lead roles in hit stage musicals here and abroad. Special guest MC is Farmer Dave from Rufftrack and Big Brother. There will be non-stop live entertainment on the outdoor stage, amusement rides. Food and drink stalls plus food trucks.

The annual Thong throwing competition will be in action and there will be roving entertainment, facepainting, rides and activities for the kids. As well as an Emergency Services Display there will be lots to see and do. The wow factor will be added by an RAAF flyover and a firework finale at 9pm. Australia Day on the Hawkesbury is a dogfriendly event but please keep dogs on a lead at all times.

An Australia Day Awards Ceremony and a Citizenship Ceremony will both be held earlier in the day at Don’t Worry Oval, Windsor.
