Glenhaven Carols By Candlelight

Lights, music, Santa and more … the annual Glenhaven Carols by Candlelight is returning in its normal format and will be delighting crowds for its 22nd year.

The fun will kick off at 4pm on Sunday 11th December at Glenhaven Oval where there will be food, rides and entertainment. Santa will be coming to town for the much-loved community event.

The thousands of people expected to fill Glenhaven Oval are asked to give a gold coin donation to emergency services volunteers collecting at the gate. Christopher Costaganna, volunteer firefighter at Glenhaven Rural Fire Brigade and a member of the Glenhaven Carols Committee said the event will be supporting Glenhaven Rural Fire Brigade and The Hills SES.

Reid the Music, Jenna’s Singing School, Sister 2 Sister School of Singing, NorthWest Wind Ensemble, Castle Hill RSL Youth Wind Orchestra and the Hills District Pipe Band will be performing during the evening before the spectacular firework finale at 9pm.

The carnival atmosphere is boosted by rides and sideshows.

Chris said: “We are truly grateful for what the Carol’s event has become and the support the community shows each year.

“As COVID restrictions have been removed since last year’s ticketed event, there is much excitement in the Carols returning to its normal format. Without the generous support of The Hills Shire Council, local businesses such as fireworks sponsor Louis Carr Real Estate, West Pennant Hills Sports Club and Kindalin, amongst many other local businesses, this event simply wouldn’t be able to proceed.”

The event draws up to 4000 people to Glenhaven oval and with limited parking spaces in great demand, attendees are encouraged to park in neighbouring streets off Glenhaven Rd or walk to the event if possible.
