Upcoming Free Talk about Hawkesbury Astronomer John Tebbutt

The Hawkesbury Regional Museum will hold a talk centred around the 19th century Hawkesbury astronomer John Tebbutt on the 26th of June 2023,

According to the event post published on Facebook by the Hawkesbury Regional Museum on the 1st of June, 2023, visitors can expect “interviews about Tebbutt’s astronomical discoveries, an online tour of his Windsor observatory, photographs of his original objects, and detailed information about the life and achievements of this prominent amateur scientist.”

Among the legacy of the famous Hawkesbury resident is his discovery of the 1861 “Great Comet.”

The talk will start at 8:00 AM and will end at 9:00 AM. Admission is free but requires online reservation of tickets via Eventbrite here: John Tebbutt.

The Museum is located at 8 Baker Street, Windsor, 2756.
