Sharing Our Joy of Craft
At Creative Activities, on our last day for the year, we’ve traditionally brought in the things we’ve been working on throughout the year ~ paintings, knitting, crochet, cross stitching and the like, and show off our finished projects.
Sadly, as with many things associated with COVID, we’ve had to postpone this for a few years but finally, at the end of November 2023, we got to share our creations with others. It was great to see the finished articles when we’d seen so many of them in progress! And what an excellent time to view things we might like to try in the future!
Creative Activities isn’t just about craft, however! I think the backbone of this happy group of folk who meet each Wednesday (eight weeks per school term) is friendship. Some of our participants have been coming along each week for more than thirty years and it’s their connection with those they craft alongside that keeps them coming back.
If you’d like to join our happy group of crafters, Term 1 for 2024 begins on February 7 in the hall at Castle Hill SDA church, 84 Cecil Avenue, Castle Hill – 9.30am if you’d like to try Tai Chi or 10.30am for the craft classes.
