Cody Sizzles BREWCZYNSKI of Acacia Gardens has had an amazing breakthrough year in the highly-competitive Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Championship.

The 20-year-old speed ace started off the year sensationally with two race wins at Sydney Motorsports Park before engine problems stalled the team’s streak for a few rounds. Incidentally, the former Australian kart racing champion closed off the season with a superb victory.

Cody finished a high third in the rookie championship while the team completed the Aussie Racing Cars Championship in sixth position. This series supported the Supercars Championship.

“Mid-way through the year we had some engine issues which took us a couple of rounds to get on top of which we learnt from for future races,” Cody said. “In rounds five and seventh, the team achieved first overall.”

Cody is also competing in the karting national series, where he has been one of the dominant drivers for years.

“Overall, I am super happy with my achievements in my debut season in the Aussie Racing Cars Championship,” the exciting racing rookie said. “After some setbacks in the middle of the season, it was great to come home strong with a couple of podiums towards the end. This year was a great season for the team.”

Ice-cool Cody Sizzles scored a tremendous win in the energy-sapping Sydney300 endurance race, a prestigious production car race at Sydney Motorsport Park.

“The 300km race involves two drivers with multiple fuel and tire changes,” said Cody, who drove a Mitsubishi Evolution. “I qualified third and after a gruelling 77 laps, we were able to take home the win in my first ever endurance race.

“Personally, this race meant a lot to me as I was teamed up with a good friend of mine who has supported me through my racing journey since I was a young kid.

“The team did a great job with strategy and pit stops which was able to put us in a good position for us to win in our first endurance race together.

“I am hoping for many more opportunities like this in the future.” Cody took time out of his busy schedule to speak to the children at Kellyville Public School last month, sharing stories of his racing career, while inspiring the students to “never give up.”
