Council is joining with Hawkesbury business groups to host a keynote talk and networking event called ‘The Better Business – Simple steps to get more from your work’ on Monday, 27 February 2017 from 6pm at Stockbar and Grill 78 March Street, Richmond.

Networking will commence at from 6pm and then Robert Gerrish, Director of Flying Solo, an online solo and micro business community, will give the keynote talk from 6:30pm.

The Mayor of Hawkesbury Councillor Mary Lyons-Buckett will attend the event and welcome participants.

“I hope business people and interested community members can join us at this business friendly talk to hear Flying Solo’s inspirational tips and tricks,” the Mayor said “The talk will feature a ‘Better Business’ approach and steps to get more from your business efforts.

“It will also include ideas for profitability, lovability and rejuvenation of your business,” she added.

‘I’m hoping it will be a lively and practical session, to learn new tips and strategies to help business owner/operators and managers to get more from their business.”

The event aims to provide:

 a new way to recognise and attract ideal customers
 strategies to get the best fees and build a stronger, healthier business
 tools to help businesses work more efficiently and effectively.

Flying Solo boasts a membership of some 100,000 Australian businesses.

Robert Gerrish has been a business commentator on ABC Four Corners, A Current Affair, Sky Business, Fairfax Digital, 2UE, ABC Radio and regular video blogger for CBS. He presents the fortnightly Flying Solo podcast and has recently launched ‘Work your way’ the complete guide to going it alone in business, an online course with over 80 videos, supported by exercises, worksheets and online discussion.
