Toast of the Town

Do you feel you need to improve your personal communication with your family, in your community and in your workplace?

The Hills District Toastmasters have the answer for you. The Club was formed in 1975 and has continually conducted meetings for over 45 years and is now up to meeting 1151.

The Club is a not for profit, a community-committed organisation focused on fostering and improving communication skills for its members and the general public.

It has organised and conducted Public Speaking and Self Confidence courses for Students (the Youth Leadership program) and Adults (the Speechcraft program). Toastmasters has over 100 clubs around the world.

Barry Haywood has been a member of Hills District Toastmasters for 40 years. He joined because he was having problems communicating with a difficult employer.

Within six months Toastmasters helped solved their communication issues and he and his employer worked together for 35 years.

Barry also improved his communication skills in the community and with his family. He developed these skills through assignments, speeches, evaluations and chairing meetings.

The most important part though is that Barry has met very learned, interesting and wonderful people during those 40 years.

Toastmaster members pay low fees and enjoy a relaxed club atmosphere.

The club meets fortnightly on Tuesdays from 7.15pm to 9.30pm at Hills Restore Church, 47 Britannia Rd Castle Hill. The next meeting is on Tuesday, 7th June.
