Rouse Hill Town Centre was bustling with song when talented youngsters competed for a spot in the ZESTQuest Finals on Thursday, August 3.
More than 15 budding entertainers showcased their talents in front of a live audience and three judges, including Deputy Mayor of The Hills Shire, Councillor Robyn Preston, singer-songwriter Lara Parker Kent and Rouse Hill Town Centre Marketing Manager Kate Stone.
After a tough selection round it was determined Ruby Cuelho, Zaya Saltoun and Cassandra Perez would proceed to the finals, in the junior division.
Cora Ledwith, Jacqueline Attard and Kiara Valeriano were given the nod of approval by judges to move to the next round in the intermediate range.
And Sofya Chalk, Danika Rojas and Jazmyn Gillies successfully progressed to the finals in the seniors division.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Councillor Yvonne Keane said she looked forward to seeing the young stars perform atZESTFest, Council’s Orange Blossom Festival event.
“We have such a talented Shire,” Mayor Keane said.
“If it’s anything like last year’s spectacular performances, I can’t wait to see what these brilliant and very capable entertainers have install for ZESTFest attendees this year.”
The talent competition is open to youth aged 6 to 18 years and offers budding entertainers a platform to perform their songs, dance moves or magic tricks at OBF.
The finals will be held at 2pm-3pm at the OBF ZESTFest on Sunday 27 August at Bella Vista Farm.
The awards, supported by The Hills Shire Council and Rouse Hill Town Centre, aim to encourage up-and-coming performers to achieve their musical dreams.
Winners will be awarded in the following categories:
