St. Albans Village Market
St. Albans Village Market is now in its 4th year and with well over 1000 followers on Facebook and even more on Instagram, @stalbansvillagemarket has well and truly established itself on the Hawkesbury market trail for locals and visitors alike.
It’s a great day trip for your family and friends.
If you are coming from Sydney, and after breath-taking, magnificent views of the valley, you descend into Wisemans Ferry, turn LEFT past the Police Station for 200m and alight the WEBBS CREEK FERRY. It’s 24/7 and it’s free.
So, first set your GPS to include ferries, and then once across the river, take a meandering drive beside the Macdonald River to the village of St Albans.
On your 21km drive to St Albans, you are surrounded by both farms and wilderness and it certainly gives you the feeling that nothing much has changed over the years; the sense of history and the natural beauty of the region makes St Albans an idyllic destination.
There’s an awesome kids park opposite the market, plus two fully licensed local institutions – the iconic convictbuilt Settlers Arms Inn and the Pickled Wombat Café.
