School holiday fun for creative kids Wednesday, 27 September to Friday, 6 October

With temperatures rising and school holidays looming, parents will be reassured to know that Hawkesbury Regional Gallery in Windsor is offering a great program for creative kids this spring that explores a wide range of techniques and subjects, from swishy fishies to paper peacock pictures, with a 3D skull and some clever marble paintings to keep the ball rolling.

SWISHY FISHY PAINTING
Wednesday, 27 September 10am-midday
Use layered gold flake gilding and acrylic paint to create an artwork of glistening goldfish.

PET PLANTS
Thursday, 28 September 10am-midday
Make some cute fake plants using air drying clay that will look great and never need a drop of water!

3D PAPER SKULL
Friday, 29 September 10am-midday
Cut, fold and glue to make your own 3D paper skull sculpture.

ON A ROLL
Wednesday, 4 October 10am-midday
Learn some interesting watercolour techniques painting some colourful marbles that look so real they could roll right off the page!

QUIRKY KEY RINGS
Thursday, 5 October 10am-midday
Design and make your own cool Zombie Key Rings, using clay and added bits and pieces.

PAPER PEACOCK PICTURES
Friday, 6 October 10am-midday
Rip and stick recycled magazine pages to create a vibrant Paper Peacock Picture

All activities are for school age children (children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult). $15 per session – all materials supplied, bookings essential.
