Performance Sentiment Index Survey 2023 Seeks Hills Biz Owner’s Thoughts

Performance Sentiment Index Survey 2023

The Performance Sentiment Index (PSI) Survey is an annual 21-question metric that aims to measure business earnings, expenditures, employment data, et cetera. The PSI started in 2015 and is now in its eighth year, while no survey occurred in 2021.

According to The Hills Shire Council, the index is set locally, giving insights and a more specific metric about The Hills’ business growth. In addition, it “…allows for or a more nuanced understanding of business performance and conditions. It gives a good measure of local economies and allows for comparison of business performance by region, across a city, within a state, and across states.”

The survey will be open until 5.00 PM, 30 June 2023. According to the Council’s media release, the finished report will be released in late 2023.

2022 Performance Sentiment Index Survey reports indicated vital data and insights, such as the immense rise of The Hills PSI Score to 6 compared to 2020’s PSI Score of -45, mainly attributed to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information about the survey, take a look at The Hills Shire’s dedicated webpage.

Overall, the survey indicated growth compared to the setback in 2020.
