Vivienne Beggs Scholarship 2023 Awarded to Hawkesbury Nurse
Lea, a nurse from the Hawkesbury District Health Service Barry Collins Ward, received the St. John of God Hawkesbury District Health Service inaugural Vivienne Beggs Scholarship, as stated by an HDHS article dated 16th of May, 2023.
According to the HDHS, the scholarship aims to “…[support] nursing and midwifery caregivers in their professional development.”
Lea was one of the two nurses awarded with it.
The scholarship originated because of Vivienne, a Hawkesbury resident, “who was [a] passionate advocate for health care and dedicated over 54 years to the nursing profession.”
