Motorcycle rider, 18, seriously injured after crash with truck in Windsor
A motorcycle rider was seriously injured following a crash with a truck in Sydney’s northwest.
At about 3:40 pm today, Sunday, 22 September 2024, emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a motorcycle and truck at the intersection of Hawkesbury Valley Way and Cox Street, Windsor.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the rider – an 18-year-old man – at the scene before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The 45-year-old truck driver was uninjured and was taken to Hawkesbury Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command established a crime scene and are in collaboration with specialist police.
According to Police, drivers are advised to steer clear of the area, which is expected to remain a crime scene for a considerable amount of time.
