Maree McDermid and Carol Harding with Rotarians Mercedes Eades and Daisy Montaro
Three outstanding community mums were presented with awards yesterday, Thursday by Norwest Sunrise Rotary Club.
Carol Harding, Kelly Doyle and Maree McDermid were guests of honour at the club’s special Mother’s Day breakfast at Cranbrook Residences at Bella Vista. Artists Share Davson and Daisy Ann Gonzalez had their collaborative work, Combined Wisdom, by Hills Mayor Michelle Byrne.
They spoke about changing lives through art.
Daisy Montaro spoke about the lives being saved in Bolivia thanks to the Medicos Bolivia collaboration with Open Heart International.
At the end of the breakfast, Julie Parris from Cranbrook presented $1000 to the project supported by Norwest Sunrise Rotary Club.
Norwest Sunrise Rotary Club normally meets on Thursday mornings at 7am at Maurice’s Cafe at Hills Shire Council, 3 Columbia Way, Bella Vista.
