Man Dies After Being Struck by Car in Hornsby Incident
A pedestrian tragically died after being struck by car in Hornsby.
About 10.30am on Monday 6 January 2025, emergency services were called to Sherbrook Avenue, Hornsby, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
Paramedics from NSW Ambulance arrived swiftly at the scene to provide assistance to the 87-year-old man, who was subsequently transported to Royal North Shore Hospital in critical condition. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, the elderly man succumbed to his injuries, passing away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
The driver involved in the accident, a 34-year-old man, fortunately escaped unharmed. However, the incident has raised significant concerns within the community, and officers from Kuring-Gai Police Area Command have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
