At about 8:50 AM on Thursday, the 24th of October, Police attached to Hawkesbury Highway Patrol stopped a heavy vehicle for random testing on Pitt Town Road at McGraths Hill.

The 53-year-old male driver returned a positive roadside breath test before being arrested and returned to Windsor Police Station for further testing.

Once at the Police Station, the male driver returned a positive reading of 0.053 (Low Range) before also returning a positive preliminary drug test to Methamphetamine and Cannabis being present in his oral fluid.

A subsequent search of the male, when arrested, also revealed two small plastic resealable bags containing a white crystal substance.

As a result, the male driver’s licence was suspended until the matter is before the Court in late November 2024.
