The Hills Shire Library Service now has a free App so library members can access their accounts with the simple click of a button.

Spydus App users can manage their library membership, renew their loans and access the library’s extensive catalogue.

They can also use the app to save any future reads for a later date.

The Hills Shire Council’s Group Manager of Customer Services, John Dean, said this is a great example of The Hills Shire Council investing in the future.

“It’s now possible to access library information anywhere, at any time,” Mr Dean said.

“The App makes it easy to search The Hills Shire Library’s extensive and very popular catalogue. And then once you’ve found what you’re looking for, you can easily check its availability at your local Hills Shire Library branch.

“We want our residents to have access to a wide range of learning resources, workshops and activities, and that means providing both physical and virtual options,” Mr Dean added.

The Spydus App is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android devices.

To download the App, search ‘Spydus’ in the corresponding store for the device.

When you download it, you will have the option to select your library service.

Just add The Hills Shire Library Service – you only have to do this once.

Once you have selected your library service, you can link your card and access your account for renewals.

If you select ‘remember me’ you won’t need to login again, making renewals really simple.

In addition, if you have linked your card to your child’s account, you can do all of their renewals through the App too.
