Join us for a movie under the stars

The Hills Shire Council is pleased to announce a new event to this year’s Summer Series line-up, a Movie under the Stars presented by Sara Perry from Belle Property Castle Hill at Bella Vista Farm on Sunday, November 5.

The family-friendly outdoor movie experience will raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Westmead – a charity that helps keep families together and close to the care their child needs.

On the day, there will be rides, carnival games, a jumping castle, face painting, boutique markets, meet and greets with popular Disney characters and a petting zoo.

Plus, there will food trucks including Bella Shack and Knafeh Bakery, as well as a DJ, a children’s movie and a spectac-ular fireworks display to wrap up festivities.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said money generated from the event would make a huge difference for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

“Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from-home for seriously ill children and their families,” Mayor Byrne said.

“Very sick children and their families come across the state. They come with major surgical conditions, congenital heart disease, cancer and complex medical conditions and money from this event will continue to support the House and their dedicated team of volunteers who devote their time and service to families when they need it most, includ-ing a learning program that assists seriously ill children catch-up on the schooling that they have missed.

“I congratulate Sara Perry and the team at Belle Property Castle Hill on their initiative. Every dollar that is donated goes directly to help sick children and their families,” Mayor Byrne added.

Event organiser, Sara Perry from Belle Property Castle Hill said donations raised from the event would assist Ronald McDonald House Westmead with their new 60 bedroom House due to open up early in 2018.

“We are so fortunate and lucky to live and work in one of the most amazing communities,” Ms Perry said.

“The kindness, generosity and support we have received from The Hills community right from the very start has been astounding.

“I encourage residents to come down, enjoy the activities, create memories with their friends and family, while raising much-needed funds for a good cause.”

Entry to this event is a gold coin donation.

Attendees can make a further contribution at the Belle Marquee and the Belle Property Castle Hill team can show you how.
