85 artworks have been shortlisted for Hornsby Shire Council’s 2023 Hornsby Art Prize, comprising Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Digital Art Stills and Sculpture.
Hosted in partnership with the Hornsby Art Society, the Hornsby ArtPrize is a national art competition and exhibition celebrating Australian artists. This year, the competition has a total prize pool of $23,000, with the major prize $10,000.
Winners of the Hornsby Art Prize, including the Hornsby Shire Local Artist Award, will be announced at an award ceremony on Friday 20 October. The Hornsby ArtPrize Finalists’ Exhibition will be held at Wallarobba Arts and Cultural Centre from 20 October until 5 November, Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-4pm.
