School Holiday Events at the Hawkesbury Regional Museum

Science is the theme for the school holiday events at the Hawkesbury Regional Museum.

School holiday events are available at the Hawkesbury Regional Museum starting 28 September 2023.

1.) FUN FULL MOON WORKSHOP

Thursday, 28 September, 10 AM to 11:30 AM. The session is suitable for ages 5 to 8 years old. Tickets cost $15. Slots can be booked via Eventbrite here: FUN FULL MOON WORKSHOP.

The moon is 96.7% full on this day, but did you also know that a crater on the moon is named after the famous Windsor astronomer John Tebbutt? Explore more lunar facts in this workshop and make a moon phase spinner.

 

2.) BUILD A WEATHER STATION!

Thursday, 5 October, 10 AM to 11:30 AM. The session is suitable for ages 9 to 12 years old. Tickets cost $15. Slots can be booked via Eventbrite here: BUILD A WEATHER STATION!

Renowned local scientist John Tebbutt accurately studied Windsor’s climate for over 50 years! You can learn how to track the weather and make your own weather station to take home, including a rain gauge, barometer, and weathervane.

 

It is advised that an adult must accompany children below ten years old.
