Do you know an outstanding sports person, team, coach or volunteer in the Hawkesbury? Then it’s time to nominate them for the 2019 Hawkesbury Sports Awards.

The Awards are proudly brought to you by Hawkesbury City Council. The Sports Awards acknowledge sporting accomplishments of community members, as well as the contributions of individuals to sporting clubs through support roles.

Nominations are invited for one or more of the nine categories:

• Sports Person of the Year
• Junior Sports Person of the Year
• Senior Sports Person of the Year
• All Abilities Sports Person of the Year
Team of the Year
Official of the Year
• Coach of the Year
• Sporting Excellence Medallion
• Service to Sport Medallion.

The community and all sporting groups in the Hawkesbury are encouraged to consider all those who contribute to their clubs and who have made an outstanding accomplishment in the sporting arena for nomination.

For the Team of the Year Award, it is recommended that a team representative be nominated by the Club to attend on behalf of the team, if the entire team is unable to attend.

Please note these essential criteria for all awards except All Abilities Sportsperson:

Nominees must be a resident or member of a Hawkesbury sporting organisation.

Non-residents must be registered and competing with a Hawkesbury based organisation for not less than 12 months.

Nominations must provide as much detail as possible to assist with the judging process and must also address the applicable category criteria. The online nomination form and criteria are available on Council’s web page www.hawkesbury.nsw. gov.au

Nominations will close at 5pm on Monday, 1 April 2019.
