Green Gala at Norwest Quarter

Norwest developer Mulpha is hosting its inaugural Green Gala event for the Norwest community to showcase some of the sustainability and community initiatives planned for the new Norwest Quarter development.

This free event will be held in the Norwest Quarter Community Garden, 40 Solent Circuit, Norwest on Saturday, 14th May 11am to 3pm.

Hills residents, family and friends are invited to enjoy all the fun activities, which will include solar powered live entertainment, inspiring talks, electric vehicle car displays, food trucks, sausage sizzle, terrarium workshops, cooking demonstrations and entertainment for the whole family. Mulpha has partnered with the likes of Miele, Oz Harvest, Zero Co., Who Gives A Crap, and Ohmie Go to offer attendees a fun and interactive way to learn more about sustainable practices and community building.

Green Gala

The establishment of a community garden is part of Mulpha’s commitment to build its Norwest Quarter development as a zero carbon precinct, the first in the Hills and one of the most ambitious in Australia in terms of sustainability initiatives and design principles. Many of these initiatives will be on show at Green Gala including the community garden.

Mulpha Head of Developments, Tim Spencer, said: “Green Gala will be a great opportunity to see the thinking, planning and design going in to make Norwest Quarter a truly sustainable community, and a fabulous place to live.

“We have just launched the first apartment buildings in Norwest Quarter which we believe will set a new benchmark in lifestyle design with its focus on community, sustainability and harmony with the natural environment.

“Anyone thinking of joining the Norwest Quarter community will also have the opportunity to check out our Banksia and Lacebark apartment display suites on show at Green Gala, and see and feel the quality of apartment interiors for themselves.”

The first stage of Norwest Quarter will include two residential apartment buildings, with a total of 196 apartment homes, and more than 3,000 sqm of sustainably-focussed retail and commercial space including a full-floor commercial gym, fresh food grocer, medical services and restaurants.

The community garden in Norwest Quarter will not only supply the local community with fresh, seasonal, organically grown produce but will also enable people to connect with nature and each other through a healthy enjoyable activity that is great fun for people of all ages.
