Greater Sydney Landcare helps plant 600 trees/shrubs at Oakes Road Reserve
Last weekend, Greater Sydney Landcare planted 600 trees, shrubs and groundcovers at Oakes Road Reserve alongside Toongabbie Creek as part of the Creating Canopies project. It was a great turnout with 25 people joining them for a sunny, fun day of planting.
Local scouts, high school students, Friends of Toongabbie Creek and Oakes Road Bushcare were joined by local volunteers from the community including Councillor Kellie Darley for City of Parramatta. Baxter Healthcare generously provided access to water so these plants were able to get a good initial drink.
Greater Sydney Landcare expressed their thanks to everyone who came along!
