Galston Rotary Club’s Giant Book Fair

It’s our 20th Anniversary Book Fair
28th, 29th and 30th July 2017

‘To celebrate our 20th anniversary we are launching the largest ever collection of priced books,’ Ted Shade said. Many are rare, collectable 1st editions, some signed, and encompass a vast range of categories with over 4000 books in total. This is in addition to the many thousands of other books we have on display, all competitively priced.

Examples: The House at Pooh Corner 1st edition 1928; The Saxophone by Ben Davis; The Little Gift Book by Fisher; The tale of the Old Tweed Jacket 1950 1st edition; Visits to Madagascar 1st edition 1858; Charles Dickens books and book sets; biography/memoir Slim Dusty, signed 1st edition; The Rhinecold & The Valkyrie; Complete works of Flavious Josephus1860 as written himself translated by W Whiston; Charlie Brown Encyclopaedia full set; The Silver Jubilee of the Reign of Queen Elizabeth 11 (No 102 of 200 copies printed). Just a small sample of valuable books.

We have dedicated areas for childrens books, vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and games.

Rotary BBQ food, drinks and light refreshments will be available throughout the trading period. Off street parking is also available.

Trading hours: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8.30 am to 5pm

Venue: Galston Community Hall, 37 Arcadia Road, Galston. Come and visit twice –First to pick up those special books you are looking for and after 1pm on Sunday for the clearance sale bargains.

All proceeds from the Book Fair go to local, national and international projects and disaster relief
