VIRGINIA FARM WOOLWORKS, on Annangrove Road, has for 30 years been a centre for wool related crafts such as hand spinning, weaving, feltmaking and knitting.

Whether you need equipment such as a loom, repairs to a spinning wheel, fleeces from their sheep, dyes, or dozens of shades in soft Merino wool and silk, you will find lots of choice and helpful advice from owners, Jenny and Phil Dunn.

You can learn to spin, explore the world of felting — making functional or fashion items, or join a social group to weave. Spinning classes are held on Tuesdays and booking is necessary. There are weekend workshops on feltmaking, as well as several social groups.

Virginia Farm Woolworks is open weekdays from 9:30 till 5, and Saturdays by appointment. Call in to discuss your needs with Jenny and Phil, and explore their range of classes and products on offer for the creative world of traditional fibre arts and textiles.
