DOOF Nights at Alive

Not only does Alive provide leisure activities for couples, it can also be a springboard into the media world for young people keen to make radio a career.

Many shows celebrate their 100th episode, but probably not quite with as much enthusiasm as Liam Skeates-Udy who outlines the fun night he had on September 15th, when some of Sydney’s finest up-and-coming DJs gathered in a lush, fern-filled backyard to unleash 4 electrifying hours of beats, all in celebration of the 100th episode of Alive 90.5FM’s Doof Nights, your Wednesday night ritual of sonic mayhem, airing every week at 10pm.

DJ – Liam Skeates-Udy.

With lights flashing, subwoofers thumping, and an endless stream of bass-heavy, euphoric sounds, the festivities kicked off in true Doof fashion. A massive shout-out to every DJ, contributor, and of course, all of you in Doofland out there who text, share, and vibe along every week – you are the heartbeat of this community!

What began as a humble university project in the final days of COVID has grown into a showcase for Sydney’s – and the world’S – most exciting electronic talent. From local legends to international stars from Brazil, India, and Germany’s hottest rising acts, Doof Nights, hosted by the one and only William of Wullamatta (Bay), has become a beacon for everything from techno and jump, up to deep house and psytrance.

With listeners tuning in from all corners of the globe, a quiet Wednesday night in the Hills District transformed into a worldwide celebration of rave and Doof culture. Keep the energy Alive, and let’s keep Doofing!
