Artist Merilyn Chappel can’t wait to invite people to her gallery next month, The Arthouse Pavilion Gallery at Dural.
After rescheduling due to Covid restrictions she will be hosting the second in the ART.AND series which will take place over two weekends, March 12-13 and March 19-20th.
ART.AND … ‘Discover Something New’ will showcase an eclectic collection of paintings, ceramics, photography, textiles, jewellery and sculptures – as well as hand-made and unique collectables in resin, wood, stainless steel and recycled materials.
It brings together 14 contemporary artists from a range of disciplines to celebrate their craft as part of a dual weekend art festival.
Attendees to the free exhibition will discover the beauty of this unique gallery setting and the outdoor exhibits with over a thousand pieces for sale by the artists on the day.
Merilyn says the exhibition will encourage visitors to embark on a personal journey of discovery where they can sign up for a range of art workshops (to be held after the event) to discover art techniques and skills from the artists exhibiting whose hands paint, hammer, twist, bend, fire, print, and weld.
Attendees can learn to print cyanotypes or to carve a medieval wooden spoon, to hone their photography skills, learn how to hang a collage of paintings – and more.
Tickets are free. The event is a registered COVID-19 safe event.
Visitors will be required to pre-register or register on the day to secure their free ticket to attend, wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing requirements.
