Council Releases New Metro Walk for Easter Weekend!

I’m happy to let you know that Council has released its latest Metro Walk and just in time for the Easter long weekend.

The Early Settlers Walk, from Showground to Norwest Stations through Crestwood, is one of our longest walks yet! At 11.6 kilometres, this Metro Walk will take participants to where early settlers in Baulkham Hills established their farms before the end of the 18th century.

The walk also takes people through the beautiful Roxborough Park Rose Garden, where they can enjoy a coffee from the Waves café, which is located next door, and take in the more than 4000 roses as they show off their big and bold blooms in their newly renovated garden beds. This walk will also direct participants along Toongabbie Creek where they can discover valleys of tall Blackbutts and Sydney Turpentine Forest, and then into Norwest Business Park, which is one of the first business parks to be established in Australia.

The Early Settlers Walk has been graded as easy to do, and is the perfect way to catch up with friends and family, while taking is some of the best sights and sounds this holiday period.
