Elin Rosenberg Cemazar was the five-goal heroine as undefeated Hills United romped to an 8-0 victory over Sutherland Strikers in their FNSW League One Women’s first grade game at the weekend.

This followed their 5-0 rout of Blacktown Spartan in the previous round, and makes them the team to beat in the competition which has a long way to go.

Cemazar was simply unstoppable against the Strikers, starting her scoring streak in the ninth minute and founding off her tally in the 93rd.

Hills United took a 2-0 lead into half-time with the consistent Bella Donaldson putting them ahead in the seventh minute.

The floodgates opened after the interval with Cemazar finding the net in the 47th, 66th 67th and 93rd minutes to tear the Sutherland defence to shreds. The other goals were scored by Jess Wotton (60th), and Monique Holder (77th).

Hills United are on top of the table with 22 points from seven wins and one draw (1-1 to SD Raiders on March 30).

They can strengthen their leadership credentials with a win over seventh-placed Bankstown City whom they host on Sunday, May 4 at Valentine Park at 5.30pm.

Meanwhile, the Hills United men were beaten 1-0 by Dulwich Hill in their League One Men’s match last weekend.
