BIGGEST MORNING TEA

Barbara Halton, Cynthia Hitchinson and Rhonda McNeill (pictured) were the driving force behind the recent Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser for the Cancer Council held at Windsor Country Village, Vineyard.

Despite the name, the fundraiser was held in the afternoon when about 40 residents and staff gathered to enjoy a home made afternoon tea donated by residents.

Entertainment was provided by the very talented Greg Dimmock and His Swag Full of Instruments. Residents enjoyed singing old songs and laughing along with the entertainer . Greg can play a huge range of instruments including didjeridu, Irish bouzouki, bodhrain, classical guitar, flute and hammer dulcimer to name a few and tells stories during his show.

All together the residents raised $920 for the Cancer Council including money raised from a raffle for a handmade blanket.

Residents of the Windsor Country Village have been supporters of the Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea program for more than 10 years.
