Banksia Yarns – 10 Years in Richmond

From humble beginnings in 2012 we have grown from a small shop in an arcade, to a much larger shop with street frontage, opposite the Richmond club in East Market Street.

During our early days in Richmond, we found there was a need for “a good wool shop”, as several of our customers said. So we began the project of expanding our range … and expanding the selection of Yarns that would appeal to our local knitters and crocheters.

From quality wools for the budget conscious to luxury yarns to spoil yourself, there is something here for almost everyone. Our involvement in the local community has seen us attend a range of craft events in the region (and out of the region too!), and we also sponsor some of the prizes for the crafts at the Hawkesbury show each year.

Our carefully curated selection of the finest quality Banksia yarns sit comfortably amongst the broad selection of basic everyday yarns all source from Australia and around the world.

We have Mohair, Alpaca, Silk, Cotton, Wool and Acrylic Banksia yarns from known and trusted brands. We also have a range of crochet hooks and knitting needles, and now a growing range of crafts, including cross stitch, macrame and loom knitting are being catered for.
