ANZAC Day Services

ANNANGROVE: ANZAC Day Services, Monday, April 25th. Service at Annangrove Park. Gather at 10.45am for a 11am start. The service will be followed by refreshments and bbq afterwards. Organised by Annangrove Progress Association. All welcome.

CASTLE HILL/KELLYVILLE: ANZAC Dawn Service, Monday April 25th at the Centenary of Anzac Reserve off Wrights Road. One of the biggest in Sydney. Arrive at 5.45am latest for a 6am start. Brigadier Robert Lording CSM, Commander 5th Brigade will be giving the ANZAC Day Dawn service address. The theme is the war in Afghanistan. Organised by the Castle Hill RSL sub-branch.

GALSTON: The ANZAC March and Commemoration Service will take place on Sunday 24th April at 2.30pm at the Galston Cenotaph, located next to the History Cottage on Galston Road. In the event of rain, or COVID restrictions, the service will be held in the Galston Memorial Club, Arcadia Road. Following the service there will be a recital by the Hills District Pipe Band and afternoon tea will be served, at the Galston Club.

All are welcome. An ANZAC Day Dawn service will take place on Monday at the Galston Cenotaph at 6am. The services are being organised by the Hills District RSL Chapter.

GLENORIE: Dawn Service – Monday 25 April – 6am at the Glenorie Memorial Cenotaph Old Northern Rd run by the community. ANZAC Day march March 25th a 3:15pm start followed by an afternoon service at the Glenorie RSL Memorial Club ( 3 Post Office Road, Glenorie) featuring the Hills District Pipe Band, historial army tanks, bikes and jeeps. Run by the Glenorie RSL Sub Branch.

KENTHURST: An ANZAC Day march will be starting at 8.45am on Monday April 25th on Kenthurst Rd (Ampol Service Station) and finishing at the John Benyon Rotary Park (cnr of Nelson St) at 9am. The march will be followed by an ANZAC Day service. Family members of past servicemen and servicewomen are welcome to march.

PITT TOWN: The first ANZAC Day Service and Ceremony to be held at Pitt Town’s new memorial will be held at the Corner of Bathurst and Eldon Streets on Monday 25th April. People are asked to gather at 8.45am for 9am start. Pitt Town Progress Association has built the memorial which bears the names of 106 locals who fought in the Boer War, World War 1 and World War 2.

Names from other areas of conflict will be added. Peter Ryan from the Pitt Town ANZAC Day planning committee said the event has been organised by the community to mark the service of locals. He said ANZAC services planned in 2020 and 2021 had not gone ahead because of restrictions. “As a community we have been knocked around a bit. This will be the first time the community can come together to celebrate.”

RICHMOND: The Dawn Service will be held at 5am at Richmond War Memorial, Richmond Park on Monday April 25th. Covered seating will be available for veterans, older family members and dignitaries who should arrive no later than 4.40am.

RIVERSTONE-SCHOFIELDS: The Riverstone- Schofields Sub-Branch of the RSL is holding a public assembly at the Riverstone Cenotaph located on Riverstone Parade, Riverstone. The ceremony commences at approximately 5:30am on Anzac Day, Monday 25th April.

WINDSOR: The ANZAC Dawn Service will start at 5.50am at McQuade Park, Windsor on Monday. The ANZAC address will be made by Air Commodore Carl Newman from RAAF Richmond .There will be breakfast for attendees at Windsor RSL afterwards.

WISEMANS FERRY: The Dawn Service on Monday 25 April will be held at 6am at The Wisemans Ferry ANZAC Memorial, Old Northern Rd, Wisemans Ferry followed by a light breakfast at Wisemans Ferry Bowling Club. There will also be a morning Ceremony at 10.30am on ANZAC Day at Wisemans Ferry War Memorial following a march from Wisemans Ferry Public School.
