ANZAC Day Commemoration at Richmond RSL Sub-Branch

Richmond RSL Sub-branch will commemorate ANZAC Day 2022 with a Dawn Service to be held at the Richmond War Memorial, Richmond Park, from 5.00am on Monday 25th April 2021.

The Dawn Service will include the traditional Catafalque Party, keynote addresses and the laying of veteran organisation and community wreaths.

Covered seating will be available for dignitaries, veterans and older family members, who should arrive no later than 4.40am. Local community members are most welcome to participate in the ceremony, ensuring that they follow current COVID restrictions. The wearing of face masks is optional.

Richmond RSL Sub-branch welcomes the many veteran and community groups who, each year, participate in this commemoration and who lay wreaths to honour our veterans. Richmond RSL Sub-branch will continue to invite local community families and individuals to lay private wreaths in honour of family members who have served, or are serving.

For clarification, even though COVID restrictions are being relaxed, Richmond RSL Sub-branch will not commemorate ANZAC Day, including the traditional march from the RSL Sub-branch to the Richmond War Memorial, on the Sunday prior to ANZAC Day (24th April 2022). For additional information, please contact the Richmond RSL Sub-branch Secretary, Gillian Fletcher on 0438782419 or the Publicity Officer, Lynette Bowles, on (02) 4578 2804.
