2018 Hills Relay Launch International of the Hills

There was a bit of magic in the air when around 240 people attended the launch of the 2018 Hills Relay For Life at Event Cinemas Castle Hill.

The guests represented teams, sponsors and supporters of the community event which raises money for the Cancer Council.

This year’s target is $310,000.

Magician Richard Lee from Kellyville Lions delighted guests with is tricks before a screening of The Greatest Showman.

Team Captains and major sponsors, including Event Cinemas were welcomed by the 2018 chair of Hills Relay For Life organising committee Michelle Sollom.

Minister for Counter Terrorism, Corrections and Veterans Affairs David Elliott joined Hills Relay Patron and Hill Shire Mayor Michelle Byrne, Deputy Mayor Robyn Preston and her fellow councillors for the launch.

More than 60 teams have already registered for this year’s Hills Relay For Life at Castle Hill Showground on May 19.

Registration is $15. Register online at relayforlife.org.au and select Hills 2018 or call Samantha Newman on 9354 2000.

Upcoming Relay fundraisers include Bogan Bingo on March 3 at Castle Hill Bowling Club. Tickets $30.

A Trivia Night on March 17 at Hills Grammar in Kenthurst.

A Charity Theatre Night at the Pavilion Theatre on April 4. Harvey by the Castle Hill Players.
