Woman dies in hospital after two-car crash in Castle Hill

A woman has died after a two-vehicle crash on Tuckwell Road, Castle Hill, at about 5:25 PM, Wednesday (19 June 2024). Emergency services were called to the crash location.

On arrival, officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command were told a silver Mercedes sedan and a white Isuzu D-Max Ute had crashed into each other.

The front passenger of the sedan – a 58-year-old woman – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition however, she later died at the hospital.

The driver of the sedan – a 24-year-old woman – and two other passengers – aged 60 and 18 – were also taken to Westmead Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ute – a 47-year-old man – was taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing.

He is assisting police with their inquiries.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to the NSW Police, a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
