Woman, 43, Charged with High Range Drink Driving

Officers from The Hills Highway Patrol charged a 43-year-old female with High Range drink driving on her way to collect her child from school, which is five times over the legal limit.

At about 12:25 PM, Monday, 9 September 2024, officers from the Hills Highway were patrolling the streets of Baulkham Hills. Officers observed a silver Toyota Camry exiting a driveway and almost colliding with the passing police vehicle.

According to the Police, the female driver was stopped, and when officers began speaking with her, it quickly became clear that she was heavily intoxicated.

The driver was breath tested returning a positive reading, she was arrested and conveyed to Castle Hill Police Station. The breath analysis returned a reading of 0.269 grammes of alcohol per 210 litres of breath.

Her driver’s licence was immediately confiscated and suspended, where she will appear before Parramatta Local Court in October 2024 for Drive with High Range PCA – 1st offence.
