Staff at Hills Community Aid are working towards becoming a White Ribbon Accredited workplace.

So far in the Hills LGA only Castle Hill RSL has been given White Ribbon accreditation, a process that takes 18 months.

Hills Community Aid helps clients with Domestic Violence related issues through specialised programs, workshops, financial support and referral pathways.

Mici Beer, manager at HCA said: “Hills Community Aid felt it was essential to become an integral part of the social change, leading by example taking on this process…the accreditation process is only one step in creating a social change around gender based violence and equality however we believe that as an organisation this is a key part of the process.”

Hills Community Aid is a not for profit organisation based at 390 Windsor Rd, Baulkham Hills and also operates Learning in the Hills at the Balcombe Heights Estate on Seven Hills Rd. It has operated in the Hills for more 50 years.

• Hills Community Aid will be launching its White Ribbon Campaign at Castle Towers (Level 3 in front of General Pants) at 10am on Monday, November 12.

• The gallery of White Ribbon artworks will be on show until November 25.
