Residents from 29 countries, including India, Kenya, New Zealand, Ecuador, China, Mexico, and Sweden, will make the life-changing pledge during The Hills Shire Council’s event this Sunday, January 26.

Aye Thidar Thaw from Myanmar will be among them on Australia Day. She expressed her pride in becoming a new citizen.

“Becoming an Australian citizen marks a new chapter filled with belonging and opportunity. I wish to be part of this inclusive community and contribute to its vibrant diversity,” Ms Thidar Thaw said.
