Tribute To Jack Waterski Tragedy

A celebration to remember the life of 25-year-old waterski champion Jack Coaldrake will be held on Friday 25th October at Hawkesbury Race Club.

Jack died on Sunday 6th October while water skiing on the Hawkesbury River.

Emergency services were called to a boat ramp at Lower Portland at about 7.25am following the incident. He was brought ashore and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

Police are preparing a report for the information of the coroner.

He was with close family friends and his girlfriend of over two years Samara Ross when he died.

Jack worked at the family business Coldys Towbars and Bullbars at McGraths Hill.

His dad Dave said on Facebook that the world was made a better place by Jack being in it.

“He packed so much into 25 years, more than most do in a lifetime.”

Tributes have been flooding social media since the news of Jack’s death reached the closeknit community.
