Waste Collection Update – Thursday, 10 March 2022

IF YOUR BIN HAS NOT YET BEEN EMPTIED, PLEASE KEEP IT OUT UNTIL IT IS!

Due to the current flood event, our waste collection days and times have been impacted. The council asks residents to please leave their bins out and the trucks will get to them when it is safe to do so.

Also, The council asks residents to please place your bins out the night before your usual collection as truck collection times may be earlier than normal.

There are many of you who are struggling to manage the amount of waste that hasn’t been collected. Please bag it securely for now. If possible, work with neighbours to share bin space. Please do not put general waste in the yellow or green bins.

Kerbside Collections – Council is aware that their contractor Cleanaway has not been able to collect on the western side of the River, with the majority of outstanding collections being in the North Richmond area. Please leave your kerbside items out and they will be collected once the bridges are reopened.

Our Recycle and Organics contractor, JJ Richards have advised that collections are proceeding and should be close to the usual schedule. There may be some delays on the western side of the River.

ISOLATED PROPERTIES – If your property is not accessible due to flooding and road closures, they will be unable to collect your bins at this stage.

If you think your bin has been missed, you can log a missed service here www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/_resources/forms/bin-request
