The Passing of a Glenorie Shopkeeper

We are saddened to report the passing of former Glenorie shopkeeper, Joe Chizzoniti.  He passed away on the 29th December. Joe had operated Glenorie Hardware for over 40 years and was a familiar figure around Glenorie, where he used to park his car outside the Hardware store.

Joe’s funeral was held at St. Benedict’s Parish Church at Arcadia on the 11th January. Joe’s ute is seen pictured outside his store at Glenorie in this old photograph supplied by his niece Nina Martelli.
