Swing City, Norwest

Out and About

With Christmas fast approaching and with the end of year holidays upon us, now is the time to think about new ways to entertain the kids these holidays as well as fun ways to catch up with friends and family we may not have seen much of this year.

The Hills’ newest entertainment hub, Swing City ticks these boxes, offering something for everyone from the young to the young at heart and is the perfect place to gather with family and friends or with your corporate colleagues.

Swing City is not your usual driving range. If anything, it is a golfer’s paradise for golf enthusiasts of all levels. With 40 bays spread over two levels, Swing City is not your usual golf range. In an Australian first, Swing City makes use of a fully enclosed 60 meter net, powered by Inrange Golf technology.

This radar-based technology provides real time data on every ball that is hit including the distance, accuracy and trajectory of the shot. There is also the option of playing virtual games and challenges ensuring that the Swing City driving range remains an entertaining way to improve your swing.

There is also an 18 hole mini-golf course on site which is more challenging than it first appears with white astro turf bunkers and many twists and turns making it so much more fun for children and adults alike. Along with the mini-golf there are other outdoor games to enjoy including table tennis and bean bag toss as well as plenty of space to run around.

To add to the entertainment offerings and one of our favourite things about Swing City is the Amusement Shed which offers a range of arcade games from the classics such as Donkey Kong, Space Invaders and Pac-man and the traditional pinball machines to the more modern arcade games such as Jurassic Park and Halo. Air hockey and basketball hoop throwing games are on offer creating an opportunity for a lot of competitive fun.

After working up an appetite, there is plenty of food and drink options on site including bistro type meals such as chicken schnitzel, burgers and fish as well as pizzas including Nutella pizza with marshmallows for those with a sweet tooth.

There is also a bar on site offering a range of drinks including cocktails. One of the best things about Swing City is you can pop in for a meal or coffee and cake without having to play on the driving range or the mini golf and instead can simply enjoy the pleasant amenity that Swing City offers.

Although only new, it is easy to see why Swing City is already popular with the locals and I have no doubt my family will be back again and again.
