Success for Christmas in The Hills

Up to 5000 people attended the annual Christmas in The Hills fundraiser at Bella Vista Farm on Wednesday, December 13.

The family-friendly event, now in its sixth year, raised more than $32,700 for three Hills charities – The Sanctuary, Lisa Harnum Foundation and Hills Community Aid.

Mayor of the Hills Shire Council, Dr Michelle Byrne said she was thrilled with the turnout.

“I’m hearted by the generosity of our dedicated residents. What better way to give back to those in need at a special time of the year,” Mayor Byrne said.

“The proceeds raised from this wonderful event will go towards helping those escaping domestic and family violence and other issues which can cause struggle.

“Thank you to everyone who attended Christmas in The Hills. Your contributions will make a huge difference to those who need it the most this Christmas,” Mayor Byrne added.
