Stockland Opens Space-themed Playground at The Gables
In time for the holidays, Stockland The Gables has opened Stargazing Park, a space-themed playground located on the corner of Valletta Drive and Lunette Street in Box Hill.
Dr Peter Gangemi, Mayor of Hills Shire Council, joined Stockland for the opening celebrations on Sunday 18 December 2022.
Santa also popped in, as well as a balloon artist, magician, Christmas carollers, a Christmas DJ, face painting, lawn games, and food trucks.
Mike Milligan, Stockland Project Director, said:
“It was great to have Dr Peter Gangemi, Hills Shire Council Mayor, join us at the opening of Stargazing Park on the weekend. We expect the park to be a hub for The Gables families and the wider Box Hill community.
“The space-themed park – with its alien swings, glow-in-the-dark concrete, and rocket-shaped flying fox – will provide hours of fun, especially over the summer holidays.”
Dr Peter Gangemi, Hills Shire Council Mayor, said:
“The Gables Stargazing Park is an incredible space-themed adventure playground, one that will be cherished by this new community.
“Thank you to Stockland for providing residents in our newest suburb with a highly liveable place where they can enjoy community events, play time and healthy outdoor activities.
“The playground boasts a spaceship, a rocket-shaped flying fox, UFO shade coverings, and extra-terrestrial sites complete with alien footprints and will be a place where members of the community can come together and enjoy the Stockland community.”
