Rouse Hill Hospital Stage 1 and SSDA now on Public Exhibition

The Concept State Significant Development Application (SSDA) and Stage 1 Early Works for the new Rouse Hill Hospital is now on public exhibition.

The concept plan (see diagram below) establishes the framework and pattern for the future development of the hospital and contains the following:

Site layout including the indicative position and associated planning envelope for the main hospital building, a multi-storey car park and hospital support space.

Approximately 15,000m2 of initial Gross Floor Area.

Areas of open space.

The indicative position of internal roadways

Connections to the external road network including the upgrade of the Commercial Road/ Main hospital road intersection including traffic signals. Commercial Road will also be widened at this point to accommodate the traffic lights.

Conventional ambulance emergency access will be provided via Commercial Road. A secondary access is proposed across the TfNSW land adjoining Windsor Road (via lights and sirens only) or south via Rouse Hill Road.

A subsequent SSDA will be prepared for the detailed design of the hospital buildings and multi-storey car park.
