Rotary Christmas Cheer

Fresh Christmas trees are being sold by Rotarians in December with all funds raised going to charity and Rotary projects.

The Rotary Club of The Hills-Kellyville will be selling trees in both the Bull and Bush car park in Seven Hills Rd, Baulkham Hills and The Ettamogah Hotel (car park), corner of Windsor Rd and Merriville Rd, Kellyville Ridge on the first three weekends in December.

Norwest Sunrise Rotary Club members will be selling Christmas Trees in the carpark of Bunnings Castle Hill in the first two weeks of December.The finest of Christmas Trees are sourced from NSW farms and are freshly delivered each weekend.

All profits will be used to help local projects or overseas aid programs. The Rotary Club of the Hills-Kellyville use the profits from Christmas tree sales to fund local programs including literacy initiatives for students and a local community garden. Further afield the club continues its Bourke Public School Breakfast Club project, helping to increase school attendance.

Norwest Sunrise Rotary Club will also be running a Giving Tree at Norwest Marketown with all gifts collected going to the Salvation Army Rouse Hill for families in need. Last year, generous shoppers left enough to pack three big cars full of new gifts for children and teens, food for hampers and gift cards.

The Rotary Club of The Hills-Kellyville is also running “‘The Giving Tree” at Grove Square (formerly Stockland Mall), Baulkham Hills.

The Giving Tree has supported those in need at Christmas for more than two decades and this year up to 200 gifts will go to children, young adults and women at three women’s refuges.

The Rotary Club of The Hills-Kellyville meets every Monday for dinner at the St Joseph’s Conference Centre at Baulkham Hills. Arrive 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

Norwest Sunrise Rotary Club meets for breakfast on Friday mornings at The Hills Shire Cafe at Hills Shire Council arrive at 7am for 7.20am start. To find out more visit the club’s facebook pages.

Members of Rotary Club of Kurrajong North Richmond will be selling their fresh Christmas trees in the Coles carpark at North Richmond every weekend in December until Christmas Eve.
