Road And Ferry In The Hills have sustained a significant amount of damage due to the floods and recent rains.

Sections of River Road, Chapel Hill Road and Pages Wharf Road will require major repairs which will take some time to design and carry out. I would like to thank residents for their understanding and patience while this occurs.

Current Road Closures are as follows
– River Road remains closed between Blundells Swamp and the Cliftonville Ski Lodge.
– Mitchells Road is closed at 222 Mitchells Road
– Chapel Hill Road and Pages Wharf Road are resident access only

Lower Portland Ferry, Webbs Creek Ferry and Wisemans Ferry are all open. Transport for NSW is hopeful of restoring Sackville Ferry by tomorrow afternoon.

Wisemans Ferry Road remains closed at Little Cattai Creek due to extensive damage to the roadway at multiple locations. This road is a State Road, not a Council road, but to provide an update to residents, the contractors are working as fast as they can to open this road.

Road And Ferry In The HillsIn the urban area, Council’s crews are responding to potholes along roads after the recent rains. I ask if residents see a pothole, please let Council know through the ‘Report it to Council’ section of the website, so it can be attended to as fast as possible https://www.thehills.nsw.gov.au/Report-Request[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
