Rapid Antigen Testing

MP David Elliott has called the decision to give MPs and their staff FREE Rapid Antigen Tests “stupid” and will be passing his on to a local women’s shelter.

His statement is below:

Rapid Antigen Testing
I note that Members of State Parliament will be receiving free Rapid Antigen Tests, to be sent to Electorate Officers over the coming days.

Please be advised that these free tests were unsolicited by me or my office.

To that end this morning I spoke to domestic violence case workers servicing my electorate and have decided that I will be donating any tests received at my office to the The Sanctuary – The Hills Women’s Shelter. They will be used to keep women and children who are guests of The Sanctuary safe.

I also thank my electorate staff for agreeing to forfeit these tests.

The decision to distribute free tests to politicians was stupid.
